CMM stands for Capability Maturity Model

CMM is a methodology to appraise maturity of software processes of an organization.

In CMM / CMMI system, maturity levels are measured on a scale of 1 to 5 and the classification of these ratings is as under :

CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) is a process improvement approach that provides organizations with the essential elements of effective processes, which will improve their performance. CMMI-based process improvement includes identifying organization’s process strengths and weaknesses and making process changes to turn weaknesses into strengths.
