ISO 17025 / NABL

ISO 17025 is a quality management system for testing and calibration laboratories. It is administered by different accreditation bodies in different countries. In India, National Accreditation Board for Laboratories (NABL) performs this role.

Requirement of ISO 17025 or N.A.B.L. are derived from ISO 9001 standard but have been amended to suit laboratory quality system.

Certification to ISO 17025 / NABL can be obtained by in-house laboratories of manufacturing / service organizations as well as by independent and stand alone laboratories performing third party inspection, testing and calibration.
